Michael Courtin, Co-Owner

Michael Courtin has over 25 years experience in the management and operations of startup and entrepreneurial companies. His expertise is broad in scope, including organizational structuring and startup, operations, marketing, sales, and finance. Mr Courtin holds a degree in Computer Engineering.

In 1993, after several years of business process and software consulting, Mr. Courtin left corporate America to co-found a startup software consulting firm, Power 2000, Inc. From 1993 to 1997, Michael acted as Vice President of Consulting, where he was instrumental in growing the company into an established and industry respected software consulting firm. In 1997, Mr. Courtin was named as CEO of Power 2000 and he held that position until March of 2000 when the company was successfully marketed and sold to a SilverStream software – a publicly held company. Total staff at the time of sale exceeded 100. Mr. Courtin was responsible for the corporate P&L and managed all facets of the acquisition process.

From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Courtin held positions within SilverStream Software managing the consulting practice and customer care initiative for a 10 state Midwest region, and with Novell, who subsequently purchased SilverStream, in roles as Customer Care Director and other Consulting roles.

In 2004, Mr. Courtin once again left the corporate environment to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. He established a profitable advertising product and sign rental company and a new home construction and remodeling company. The home building company, Fox Court Inc., built several up-scale custom homes in 2006 and 2007, in a down turned and extremely competitive housing marked. In 2009 the advertising and rental company was sold.

In 2010, Steve Wolf and Mike Jones recruited Mr. Courtin to co-found Phoenix Restoration, where he is responsible for Finance and New Business Development.
